This is an ABSTRACT of my new book.
Planning is considered among the most important stages towards the achievement of an objective. The planning stage can be a complicated process depending on the time, situation, and circumstances. Achieving effective planning requires considerable efforts and knowledge. Economic indicators are among the knowledge aspects that have to be taken care of in order to achieve such effective planning.
Economic indicators play an important role in forecasts. Forecasting is a way to expect future opportunities and risks. Formulating plans that takes care of future expectations can ensure goal attainments through proper planning.
Effective planning requires information input. Among the most important information that can be imputed into an effective plan would be the various economic indicators. Economic indicators are the basis for most economic, financial, and governmental reports. Economic indicators form the variables that explain future economic trends and development patterns that can explain the future.
Economic indicators can be used in several aspects. For example, government agencies, companies, researchers, and individuals may understand the effects of economic indicators on their present and future economic situations.
This book aims to introduce readers to the different economic indicators. It will also assist readers on how to use these indicators for planning purposes. This will help formulating better plans that are based on economic indicators. Such plans will be more effective. The book provides an easy to understand content that the regular readers can understand and interpret easily.
The book contains four chapters. First, it illustrates planning concepts and indicators. Second, an illustration of information and their gatherings will be discussed. Third, it includes general concepts on economic indicators with detailed explanations for each indicator along with a case study on the Yemeni economy. The forth chapter will include a discussion on how to use these economic indicators to formulate more effective plans.
